I finally have a blog set up so all of you can keep in touch with what is going on with Rebekah.
It has been a week since we received the news that Rebekah has Lyme Disease. We are still waiting on other test results to see if she has any of the co-infections that often are transmitted by ticks as well. She is on an oral dose of doxycycline, but it is only a low dose that Dr.Katz gave her to get her started, she is suppose to be upped when he gets in contact with our GP. We have been trying to reach him this week, to see when we can get her started on the IV antibiotics, but his office is closed, we assume he is on vacation. So hopefully he will be back next week, and will get in touch with our GP as to what dose to up her too, and what drug to give her via IV. Our GP has never treated Lyme as far as we know, so she needs his advice. Keep praying for Rebekah, she does not feel any better, and is anxious to get started so she can start feeling better.
