You are going to think we disappeared from the face of the earth. Summer has been busy and I actually forgot to update, sorry about that. Rebekah has had a pretty good summer(minus the heat) and has been doing so much better. She has been able to do allot of things with her friends, like sleepovers, day trips etc, which in comparison to last summer is absolutely amazing. She could barely get out of bed allot of the time last summer. The main thing that we notice, is that if she has a few busy days or sometimes even one day, she does crash for a day or two after with flare up of symptoms. A completely healthy 13 year old would not get sick that easy.
She is still on daily IV antibiotics, although that is going to change this week. I have been speaking with her Lyme doctor and he is wanting to see her again in a few weeks. He has decided we are going to take her off the antibiotics while we wait to see him, to see how she reacts. He will get a better picture of what might be going on if he can see her off the antibiotics. We are going to look at the possibility of a co-infection again. This might be why we can't get her to 100%. So I will be back with an update as soon as we meet with Dr.B, and hopefully will have more idea where we are heading from here by the time we leave. Thanks for faithfully praying for Rebekah, she has had a long road of recovery but it coming and she is glad to be getting back to her old self.
