Rebekah seems to be having a setback again. When we called Dr.Boucher last week, we were so excited to give him the news that she was doing so well and her headache was minimal and no stomach issues etc. Unfortunately the past 6 days she has been getting sick again, her headache has gone back up to a 4 on the pain scale and her nausea and stomach issues have returned. Needless to say we are a bit frustrated and discouraged with this. We know this disease is so unpredictable but hoped that we were finally seeing some light. We are hoping and praying that this is just the diseases last battle and she will go back to feeling better in the next few days. She has gone to visit a friend in PEI this weekend, even though she was not well she wanted to go. We felt it might be good for her, to keep her mind off it. Dr.Boucher said that he wants her on IV's for at least another 6 weeks. She is hoping that this will be the end, but we can never be too sure. Part of the problem is that she cannot tolerate the one oral drug that he feels would work the best for her after she goes off IV. We will have to look into other possible ones that may work as well, but there is not much out there. Please continue to pray for strength for Rebekah and for us, and that we will make the right decisions about the steps we need to take next.
