We received the results from the dye test on Rebekah's port, and they said there was no crack. Unfortunately though, it has turned and when it turned it moved the tubing that is attached, so that the tubing is now wrapped around the port. The radiologist did not like the look of it, and felt it was not safe to leave it that way. We got a call from the surgeon last week, and he feels the same, so he wants to replace it. We are waiting on a call from booking in Truro. The surgeon said her put a rush on it so we should hear this week. We are sad that she has to go through surgery again, and another incision, but we don't have any choice in this, as she still has to continue treatment for a bit yet. She was not too happy at first, but she is dealing with it better now.
Rebekah has an appointment on Feb 10th to see Dr.Boucher, the doctor that is treating her for Lyme for a follow up appointment. She has not seen him since May 2009. We have kept in touch via phone and computer as it is a 3 hour drive to PortHawkesbury . He should see a difference in her. We are not sure how long she will continue treatment. She is still having a bad day or two every few weeks, and still battles the headache, although a few weeks ago for the first time she said it was lower on the pain scale, Praise the Lord. Will let you all know when we have a date for her port surgery.
