Wow, I can't believe it has been a month since I updated, time goes by so fast sometimes.
Rebekah was to the IWK for another MRI on Wednesday to check on the pineal tumor/cyst(they are still not sure what one it is) There has still not been any change. So the plan is to wait another 3 months for the next MRI. This next one will be around the same time period that we saw growth last time, so let's pray that does not happen. If there has still been no change in 3 months, then we will go to 6 month check ups again for the following year,and then yearly after that.
Rebekah is still struggling with Lyme, but we are hopeful this treatment will work eventually. She has definitely improved over the 4 months of IV so far. She has very few bad days compared to before, but still has about one a week, which is a big improvement from five a week. The two things that continue to plague her daily are the headache and the stomach issues, which were the first symptoms she started with. The joint pain, eye issues, hot flashes etc are not very often right now, and her energy level has increased. We are continuing her IV treatment until the headache and stomach issues resolve, hopefully soon. After we see these improve then we can look into maintenance oral antibiotics. This is certainly a slow process, but we know that Lyme Disease is not easy to battle, but we will win this battle with lots of prayer.
